Born and raised in Miami, Jerome Charles moved to Miami Shores as a teenager over 44 years ago. Jerome has loved living here, where he met and married his wife, Tabitha, and they decided to stay and raise their family. His family, like yours, is fortunate to live in the Village Beautiful. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and worked in the film and television industry for the past 37 years. He served as an award-winning senior editor for Discovery Communications, the parent company of The Discovery Channel Latin America.

As a candidate for Miami Shores Village Council, Jerome Charles would like to take the Village in the right direction. During the past year and a half, the Village has entertained upzoning privately-owned property that will forever change the single-family residential character and charm of Miami Shores. He understands how unique Miami Shores is and will do his part to responsibly plan for its future. With a resident-centric approach, he is committed to being a good steward of Miami Shores. Jerome Charles will listen carefully to residents and advocate and vote consistent with the residents’ best interests. Together, he and the residents will preserve and enhance our Village Beautiful.
